Springdale, Ark. -- SKU Ninja + WhyteSpyder today announced that J.S. Bull has been appointed as its Chief Executive Officer. He will assume leadership of the company effective August 26, 2019. Eric Howerton, the company’s founder and former CEO has been named Chief Growth Officer and will be responsible for realizing growth through business development and product/service strategy and innovation.

“My transition into SKU Ninja + WhyteSpyder has been incredible. The vision Eric has cast, the technology the team has built, and the team itself are all amazing,” said Bull. “I am very grateful for the faith Eric is placing in me to lead the strategy, structure and products that will enable our company to reach its maximum potential.”

“I knew when J.S. joined the company he was the right person to take the company to the next level,” said Howerton. “I’ve known J.S. for over ten years. His professional experience and personal strengths in organizational structure, strategic planning and human resources management are perfect to fully capitalize on our speed and scale of growth.”

Originally from Fayetteville, Bull holds a BBA in marketing, accounting and management information systems from the University of Oklahoma. Bull’s 20-year career has been marked by entrepreneurism, technology, and working with Walmart and its suppliers. In 1999, he founded eUpgrade, one of the first online comparison-shopping websites. His next step was with NorthStar Partnering Group where he worked with Walmart International and then led the team that delivered Walmart and Sam’s Club’s first in-store health events, including diabetes, healthy heart, and the first ever nationwide flu shot event.

His time as director of sales at Rockfish Interactive included growing the Walmart account and the development of the MyWalmart.com program. Following that, he co-founded Field Agent in 2009 and Colby Valve in 2016. Most recently, he was vice president of sales for Pace Industries, North America’s premier die casting company. His team exceeded $260 million in annual sales and more than $56 million in annual gross profit over the last five years, as the company experienced record growth. Bull joined SKU Ninja + WhyteSpyder in May 2019 as co-owner and chief operation officer.

“This move speaks so highly of Eric’s character. He understands what he is best at and where he can make the most impact, while also recognizing and appreciating the strengths of others,” said Bull. “For SKU Ninja + WhyteSpyder to make the greatest impact with our technology, growth is essential. There is no one better to lead that growth than Eric.”

“I’m also excited to have dedicated focus on product innovation, strategy, sales and marketing,” said Howerton. “These are the key benefits I’ve always provided to the company and will obviously become more important as we grow.”
